Guten Tag erstamal an alle
Ich habe eine Frage mit den Subuser FTP Account, wenn ich einen FTP User über den Kunden/FTP anlege dann wird er auch eingetragen in der /etc/proftpd/ftpd.passwd Datei aber beim Einlogen sagt mir FTP FileZilla Login incorrect beim Passwort. Wie kann man das Beheben?
Server ist Ubuntu 14.04 - minimal - RAID1 und das System wurde mit dem neuen Installscript von Tekbase installiert.

FTP Server läuft auch? Welchen Chmod haben die beiden Dateien? Diese dürfen im Grunde nur lesbar und schreibbar für Root sein.

ja der FTP Server ist auch online und auch über die daten des hauptbenutzer (kunde) zu erreichen
chomd 0440 das haben auch die beiden dateinin der ftp.passwd wird auch was reingeschrieben aber die ftp.group die bleibt leer
in der ftp.passwd steht auch so was drin testuser:$1$WhsZDmLJ$gjIPeBECRAqXUVC27mflL0:2003:100::/home/XXXfür kundeXXXXXX/server/ark_7777:/bin/false

in der ftp.passwd wird auch was reingeschrieben aber die ftp.group die bleibt leerdas ist normal das die leer ist...
was steht denn in deiner /var/log/proftpd.log oder /var/log/proftpd/proftpd.log ?

nutzt du proftpd als standalone oder inetd ?

ah okay, da kenn ich die Berechtigungen nicht die benötigt werden.. es kann auch daran liegen das die files root gehören aber der standalone meines wissen nach seinen eigenen user hat ? wenn du die rechte auf 644 stellst und den FTPServer neustartest sollte eigentlich ne Fehlermeldung kommen welche rechte er von der Datei erwartet

Bitte, ich hab die Meldung benötigt ;D
Da ich wie gesagt den inetd verwende reicht die Datei als root:root ;D
bei standalone muss es wohl proftpd:root sein :O
